Growing Green with West
We launched our first club service project last weekend on Emancipation Day. Our project, ‘Growing Green with West’ captures one our main club goals for this year – the inclusion of the environment. With this initiative, the members of the Rotaract Club of Barbados West were required to plant flowers of their choice. This project did not only bring us closer together as a club, but it also led to a brand addition to our Rotaract family – our club plant (as seen in the middle of the group photo). Each member will be given an opportunity to take care of the club plant, and it will represent our growth as a club for 2020/2021.
In addition to the launch of the ‘Growing Green with West’ project, club members engaged in fellowship on this day through games and a picnic at the Folkestone Marine Park and Reserve. The members within the new executive board were also pinned by our President, Ms. Aliyah Reid, who shared tokens of appreciation alongside our Vice President, Ms. Aalyah Bowen to recognize the hard work and dedication of our club members.
