The Rotary Club of Barbados West, in partnership with Diamonds International and other community partners (who support the annual Golf Classic), afford matriculated university students the opportunity to apply for financial assistance. Past President Joseph Steinbok served as the chairman of the Scholarship Committee for a number of years. Past President Frank Hunte is the current chairperson.

The objective of the Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance to deserving and needy Barbadian citizens, who would not otherwise be able to obtain an undergraduate education. Scholarship applicants must be Barbadian citizens between the ages of sixteen (16) and twenty (20), who have been accepted to a Caribbean University. Applicants must demonstrate good academic performance, as well as a need for financial assistance.

A scholarship award is for a maximum value of $15,000.00 for a period of three or four years. During the 2020-21 academic year, two (2) scholarship awardees were selected. Presently, the fund is also providing financial support to three (3) additional students.
